Common Water Heater Repair Issues

Water Heater Installation and Repair

Water Temperature Issues

By far the most common problem is no hot water, too cold of water, lukewarm water, and scalding hot water. Common causes may range from faulty gas control valves, faulty t&p valves, bad thermocouples, improper temperature settings, and lack of maintenance.

Leaking Water Heater Repairs

Water heaters have a lifespan. Current estimates are a water heater will last 8-10 years. The most common failure that requires a new water heater installation would be tank failure. Metal rusts. Your water heater has an anode rode to prevent rust, so make sure you have that inspected and replaced therefore prolonging the life of your water heater.

Water Heater Deposit Build Up

Does your water heater make popping or banging sounds? Water contains minerals as well as other substances. Minerals can deposit inside your water heater, settling to the bottom. This causes your water heater to become less efficient over time. We recommend flushing your water heater once a year.

Water Heater Leaking Gas

The gas control valve on your water that regulates the flow of gas can fail. If you smell gas, shut off the supply line immediately and give us a call. If you can't shut off the gas, call your utility company and exit the home.
